It’s a difficult thing to realize that you might have a problem with your sex life, your sexuality or your sexual functioning. To decide to do something about it can be highly embarrassing, worrying but also relieving. But if you find that something is holding you back from enjoying a healthy sex life then you may benefit from therapy or counselling with someone who takes your worries seriously.
Common problems people have include:

I work with individuals and couples in order to help reclaim or re-define your sex life so that you can have the chance to enjoy life, improve your relationships and feel better about yourself sexually. There is usually a fair amount of talking, information sharing and education about what is “normal”, as well as tasks you need to do at home to strengthen and improve your functioning. You can make contact with me directly to arrange an appointment, or talk to your GP or specialist who can refer to me as well. You may be eligible for Medicare Rebates under a Mental Health Care Plan and your doctor can work with you to decide if this is appropriate. I follow the ethical standards of the Society of Australasian Sexologists. Please note that I do not work with people whose behaviours are illegal, including paedophilia and perpetrators of sexual assault. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me.
